Today has been a day of ups and downs. We’re all in need another morning like this, watching the sun come up without a care in the world.

One of the benefits of having to work through the night is you get to drive home when no one is around and the sun is coming up. I stopped not far from home about 10 minutes before sunrise this morning and just sat on a bench with the camera next to me for half an hour or so watching the sun peek over the mountains.

When we went up to Loch Thom the other morning for sunrise we found they had cut down all the trees. Only a few bare trunks were left.

I finished work about half 3 this morning so figured I’d stay up and tag along with my brother and a friend who were heading out early to take photos at sunrise. This is my brother Campbell taking a photo across Loch Thom. It was such a beautiful morning but it was freezing!
