Me reflected in a glass door.
We leave here tomorrow for the long journey home. It’s been an amazing few weeks but it’s time to head back to normality and rubbish weather. I can’t say I’ll miss having to cover myself in factor 30 just to step outside mind you! At 8am on Monday morning I’ll be unloading Sister Act from the trucks in the rain feeling like I’ve never been away!

My reflection in the wing mirror.
We drove from Monte Carlo to Grenoble on the Route Napoleon, a spectacular road through the mountains that follows the route taken by Napoleon in 1815 as he headed for Waterloo. The 5 or 6 hour trip takes much longer than it would sticking to the autoroute but the rewards are stunning views, some of the greatest driving roads in Europe and no tolls. The fact it took much longer also meant the motorway blast from Grenoble to Lyon looked like this.
Somewhere on the A43 between Grenoble and Lyon, France.
