Some things aren't what they seem
Sometimes it’s great when plans change unexpectedly. Yesterday started out normal, then a mains water pipe burst in the flat above us and brought down the ceiling and flooded the place. On the surface this looked to have put a stop to our Christmas. But…
Lindsay, the parents and the neighbours all mucked in and cleared it up. Other neighbours let Lindsay use their shower and whatnot...

Just thought I’d wish everyone a very merry Christmas! I may have no water, huge chunks of ceiling may be missing from my house and my carpets may be soaked but the Christmas spirit is alive and well at the seaside! :)

You know what I’d really love for Christmas? To be stuck at work while the mains water pipe in the flat above my house bursts and destroys my bathroom, brings down the ceiling and soaks most of the flat… Aaww, you got me it! And a day early too! Thank you so much…
Last night we met up with one of my best friend’s from school and his wife who we haven’t seen in over 10 years and it’s true what they say, with some people it just feels like it’s only been a few weeks! They moved to California with work and now live in Texas, so it was a bit of a shock for them to arrive in Glasgow when it was -10°C and covered in snow! It was the best...

Weary
65 hours worked so far this week, 21 to go. I’ve even had to go on a bus to get there because of the snow, car was stuck in the drive and the trains are all off. Before Tuesday, if memory serves me correct, I had only been on one bus in the last 16 years!! I hate buses, apart from the 204 that got me to work this morning!
