I don’t think I’ve seen quite so many different things go wrong in one 97 minute show than this afternoon in work! Spending the week working with Zach Braff and Eve Myles has been a pleasure, such a nice company to have in, and it’s been nice having the theatre sold out to the last seat every show, but we’ll all breathe a sigh of relief when we get it out and the truck...

Rough with the smooth
Work can be good and bad sometimes. Today started really annoying, then progressed into fixing and fighting with things other folk had done wrong and ended with drinks with Zach Braff and his lovely lady. Sometimes you have to take the rough with the smooth.

I was driving into work earlier and got caught behind a learner driver doing 20 mph for ages. Ordinarily this would be annoying but the instructor’s name on the sign atop his car was “Ian Hellyer” which made me chuckle the whole time. He hadn’t even taken advantage of his name in a tag line or anything… “Can I help you pass your test? Hellyer!”

You know what I love?
When the house is freezing and you get into a nice warm shower and then after a while you turn off the shower and realise you haven’t brought a towel into the bathroom… FUUUUUUUU… I do this often enough that I’m tempted to draw one of the angry man strips for it!

According to the BBC News website Scotland is set to get some snow tomorrow and it quotes weather forecasters saying: “Forecasters said rain moving east across the UK was likely to turn to sleet and snow in northern and eastern areas during the day. They also said ice could form where rain falls onto surfaces with temperatures below zero.” Ice forming on surfaces below zero?!...

Coincidence
I love it when I happen to notice life throwing up little things that link together. I was flicking through channels there and caught the end of Eyes Wide Shut, and as the credits rolled two cast names ran together. Sky Dumont was followed by Fay Masterson. Sky Masterson is the leading role in the play/musical Guys ‘n’ Dolls. That made me smile. No wonder people say it doesn’t...

Tired
Didn’t get home from work until about half 4 this morning and now I’m slumped in a chair falling asleep and slobbering in Autoglass in Irvine while they fit a new windscreen to my car. I hadn’t anticipated having to be here for a couple of hours in an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere mind you! Oh now one of the guys is eating a pot noodle and the smell is making me...
